You will also need a hosting, which provides you with a space on the web to place the content. There are many different options here: shared hosting gives one account access to server resources, while dedicated hosting provides an entire server for the use of that client only. Then there are virtual private servers (VPS) and cloud services, which fall between these two extremes.

You can then install WordPress or Drupal as a CMS - this allows users with little technical knowledge easy access to create and manage their website content, as well as add features such as e-commerce.

Now for the fun part: designing the look of your online consulting business website. Make sure you don't overwhelm users with too much color or clutter; white space helps give important items visual breathing space.

Make everything easier

Lastly, add functionality to your website. This can be as simple as a contact form or map integration - allowing visitors to get directions from Google Maps - or more complex features like online payment processing and email marketing.

Once you have all of these things in place, it's time to start getting clients! This can be done through online marketing, cold calling or emails, or by attending industry events. Start small and keep growing your client base until you are making a comfortable living from your online consulting business.
