You also have to complete 1.500 hours of theory and practice at an accredited cosmetology school and take the exam. You can get information and register at: https://candidate.psiexams.com/ or call 800-733-9267. It can be face-to-face or online. 

Upon passing the test, request the license on the System website Comprehensive Online Compliance and Regulationof the state. The filing fee is $60. 

Application for an online cosmetology store license

After meeting this requirement and registering your business with the state, start the process of applying for an online cosmetology store license.: www.core.tn.gov. It is renewed every two years.
