Tennessee offers all the necessary resources to undertake. Several cities have a great rate of growth and bring with them an invaluable opportunity for new businesses.

Over the years, many entrepreneurs have trusted Tennessee as one of the best states to start in the United States. As a result, several of the brands that were born here have become famous throughout the country; some are even world famous.

In addition, companies that originated in other places have trusted this state to install their headquarters. According to the consulting firm Brand Finance, in Tennessee are 9 of the best 500 brands in the United States. FedEx ranked best, ranking 35th.

Also on the list are Dollar General (124), AutoZone (175), Jack Daniel's (204), International Paper (212), Tractor Supply (361), Hampton Inn (371), Evision Healthcare (457) and Unum Chattanooga (498 ).

Here we list some Tennessee's most popular brands. Exploring beyond the music and landscapes that this state gives us, we will find that it has also become famous for its distilleries and other products in the food sector.

Jack Daniel's

First on our list is for the Jack Daniel Distillery, located in Lynchburg. Without a doubt this is one of the most popular brands with the “Made in Tennessee” seal. It was founded by Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel in 1875.

The square bottle with the black label is recognized worldwide. But its popularity is due to the distinctive flavor of its content. To differentiate itself from the rest of the distilleries in the state, Jack Daniel's whiskey was first made with spring water and is filtered with sarcarino maple charcoal.

There are about 30 whiskey distilleries in Tennessee, but Jack Daniel's has become the most popular.

Benton's

Benton's Smoky Mountain Country Hams is a company that sells dry-cured hams and bacon. The business was started by Albert H. Hicks in 1947, then it passed into the hands of Allan Benton and to this day they use the same recipe from their beginnings.

Benton's products are ranked among the best in the world and are used in gourmet cooking. To obtain the characteristic flavor of the hams, these are cured with salt, brown sugar and sodium nitrite.

Moon pie

She was born in 1917 and became a classic working class snack. It is made up of two cookies with marshmallow filling and a topping that can be chocolate or other flavors.

The original idea was from Earl Mitchell, a pastry chef who came up with the idea by asking a miner what kind of snack he would like to eat. He replied that something solid, of graham crackers and marshmallow. The Moon Pie story also tells that the worker asked that it be the size of the moon, hence the name.

Since then, the Moon Pie has been manufactured by Chattanooga Bakery. The original size is 10 centimeters in diameter, although there is a smaller version.

Bush's Baked Beans

About 80% of the canned beans consumed in the United States are produced at Bush Brothers and Company. The company started in Chestnut Hill and later settled in Knoxville.

The history of this family corporation began in 1904 when AJ Bush partnered with the Stokely brothers. At first it was a tomato canning factory. After four years, Bush bought his partners and became independent. The company expanded throughout the country and added other products, among which we find the famous beans.

Crown Laboratories

 health & service industries in Tennessee they are also recognized in the country. Crown Laboratories, a company that makes over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, was born in the state.

The laboratory specializes in dermatological, oncological and pediatric products.

FedEx

This parcel company is another of the recognized brands around the world. It is an airline and logistics company registered as Federal Express. The company actually originated in Arkansas when Frederick W. Smith founded it in 1971.

In its early years, airport authorities did not allow the airline to work. So in 1973 he moved to Memphis and it was there that he established his operations center.

FedEx is known as the first cargo airline to use jet aircraft to provide its services. The initial fleet was 14 Dassault Falcon 20s, by December 2010 the company had 292 aircraft.
