In Hispanic Entrepreneurs we give you the steps to follow to register your student in the CMCSS. If your K-12 grade student is new to Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools, or is transferring between schools, enroll online by visiting http://enroll.cmcss.net/

To complete the enrollment process, parents may need to go to their zoned school with the necessary documents:

· Birth certificate or other proof of birth date
· State law requires that a copy of the student's state-issued birth certificate be in his cumulative folder. Schools may accept other proof of birth date for registration, but the parent / guardian must provide a copy of the child's state-issued birth certificate.

· Tennessee Student Immunization Registry
· A complete medical examination is required for all Pre-K members. Proof of the full exam can be presented upon registration. A medical exam is recommended for all students in grades K-12 at the time of registration.

See the Health Services page for more information. http://www.cmcss.net/departments/humanresources/healthservices.aspx

· Proof of Custody (if requested by the school)
· Two (2) Proofs of Residence (Example: water bill, electric bill, lease or other residence, etc.) The school may request other residence information.
· Power of Attorney for the care of a minor child (required in certain circumstances) http://www.cmcss.net/documents/pdf/powerofattorney.pdf

The registration dates for the summer of 2017 were in June. Schools will be open beginning July 24 for enrollment for the 2017-18 school year.

* Since registration paperwork takes some time, please plan accordingly and avoid waiting until closing time.

Kindergarten Information
According to the State Department of Education, children entering kindergarten will be five (5) years old on or before August 15 for the 2017-18 school year. Tennessee State Law also requires that a student entering first grade must show proof of attendance in an accredited kindergarten program.
